The Museum
Room 2: Displays and Artifacts
The second room contains displays of Finnish items and artifacts, which have come directly from Finland and have been donated by members and friends.
Room 3: Storage and Archives
This space is reserved for office/storage as well as the archives for old newspapers, magazines, books and records (78s). A stereo, slide projector and screen are readily available in this room.
The museum (museo) is housed on the second floor of the Finnish-American Heritage Center. It is divided into three parts:
Room 1: Research and Immigrant History
This room contains a research area, the “Immigrant Wall” of pictures and displays and artifacts of area churches and the Co-Op formed by the Finnish-Americans. There is also an area dedicated to the Finnish-American Heritage Society of Maine.
